Dear Carla, First, let me just say that YOU sent me a fax in May 2003, regarding My Covenant with McDonald's and Leo Burnett. In the fax You said to call with questions, I responded with not only a letter stating my questions but called YOU as well, both my letter and my call were ignored completely. Now as far as Your confusion regarding my continued attempts to get someone from Leo Burnett and McDonald's to at least show the common courtesy of a response, well frankly Carla, if I were in Your, Leo Burnett's and McDonald's, position I would probably feign confusion as well. I'm just gonna take it for granted that the Chairwoman of the AAF is sharp enough to know when Your Company's ass is in a sling over this bogus Covenant between Us. However, in the interest of goodwill here is a list of questions I have regarding our Covenant.
1. When and where exactly did YOU sign My Covenant with McDonald's and Leo Burnett?
2. Were YOU ever involved in the negotiations of My Covenant, and if so, when and where did You negotiate and with Whom did YOU negotiate with? Certainly not me or McDonald's?
3. Why did it take 8 Years for Me to get a copy of My Covenant with McDonald's?
4. Why was I never given the opportunity to consult with an outside Attorney or accountant, or any advisor regarding Our Covenant? And why does Our Covenant say that I was?
5. Are YOU aware that Leo Burnett's Counsel at the time Mike Breslin, cursed and threatened Me in the presence of McDonald's lawyer Kevin MacKinnon? And if so, are YOU aware of the specific threats?
6. Can YOU explain why the Covenant I signed at OakBrook is different than the one YOU faxed to me in May, ie; Why are all the initials that Kevin MacKinnon had me make on the Covenant gone?
7. On the day I signed Our Covenant Mike Breslin's name was on it, why was it changed without my knowledge, and exactly what other changes were made to the Covenant after I signed it?
8. Explain please how Leo Burnett and McDonald's can justify the use of coercion, intimidation, and threats to obtain a Covenant, and then expect it to be valid and binding?
9. Please tell me if YOU, being the Chairwoman of the AAF, can honestly say that Leo Burnett and McDonald's were ethical and honest with the way My Covenant was handled? Can YOU justify the use of manipulation, lies and empty promises to get me to sign Our Covenant?
10. Are YOU aware that I have promised McDonald's that I am going to file a lawsuit regarding My Covenant, and more importantly to put YOU on the witness stand as a witness in this action?
These are a few of the questions I have regarding Our Covenant Carla, sure hope these questions are not too confusing for You. As I told Dave Conroy, I have signed many Contracts over the years, Disney, Time Warner, Paramount, ect. and the only problem I have ever had was with McDonald's and Leo Burnett. I dont go around contesting Contracts Carla, but rest assured I will have satisfaction in this matter. I didnt just wake up one day and decide to harrass You people, Leo Burnett and McDonald's came to ME, hired me to do a tough job and I did it, no questions asked. I informed McDonald's and Leo Burnett when Jack Deopke was too drunk to come out of his trailer that I expected to be treated fair, so dont be confused when I demand exactly that!
