Rest in Peace Charlie Bell JoeMaggard Jan 16, 11:55 PM [ Reply ] Today, in Australia former McDonald's CEO Charlie Bell died of cancer at 44. A scrappy kid from the suburbs of Sydney who started as a fry cook and rose to CEO of the Company, Charlie Bell was well known for his quick wit and that Aussie sense of humor. My issues with the McDonald's Corporation are well known, but to the many hardworking folks who are simply trying to make a living working there, I'm very sorry about the loss of Charlie Bell. Out of respect for the memory of Charlie Bell, I will not mention his beloved McDonald's for the rest of the month. I hope you will join me in sending out our prayers and thoughts to Charlie's wife and daughter. ATB, Joe
